Matthew 12:30-31
He who is not with Me is against Me, and he who does not gather with Me scatters abroad. Therefore I say to you, every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven men, but the blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven men.
Matthew 12:30-31
The concept of blasphemy against the Holy Spirit can be troubling. However, the very concern about committing this sin is evidence that one hasn’t done so. God’s forgiveness is vast and to blaspheme the Holy Spirit you would need to reject the finished work of Jesus, on the cross, for your sins, until your dying day.
Take some time to meditate on the extent of God’s forgiveness in your life. Are there areas where you struggle to believe God has forgiven you? Bring these to Him in prayer, accepting His complete forgiveness and love. It’s really that simple.
