2 Peter 3:10-11
| But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night, in which the heavens will pass away with a great noise, and the elements will melt with fervent heat; both the earth and the works that are in it will be burned up. Therefore, since all these things will be dissolved, what manner of persons ought you to be in holy conduct and godliness. 2 Peter 3:10-11 It’s always good to be reminded that Jesus’ return could be right around the corner. The certainty of this truth should shape how we live each day. Peter encourages us not to grow weary in waiting, but to understand God’s patience as an opportunity for salvation. Do you have friends or family member that are not yet saved? How does the promise of Christ’s return impact your daily choices and priorities? Are there areas of your life where you may have personally grown complacent? Now is a good time to renew your sense of urgency and purpose, living each day as if it could be the day of Christ’s return. Let this hope motivate you to live a life of holiness and godliness as an example and witness to the unsaved. Pastor Wade O’Neill |
