Mark 4:35, 37-39
On the same day, when evening had come, He said to them, “Let us cross over to the other side.” … And a great windstorm arose, and the waves beat into the boat, so that it was already filling. But He was in the stern, asleep on a pillow. And they awoke Him and said to Him, “Teacher, do You not care that we are perishing?” Then He arose and rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, “Peace, be still!” And the wind ceased and there was a great calm.
Mark 4:35, 37-39
Has your life been caught in a storm lately? Are there things raging that are out of your control? Jesus’ promise to the disciples, “Let us go over to the other side,” reminds us that God’s promises are trustworthy, even in the midst of life’s storms. Just as the disciples faced a terrifying tempest, we too encounter challenges that shake our faith. Yet, Christ’s presence in our “boat” assures us of His commitment to see us through.
Are there any promises from God that you’re struggling to believe? A promise is only as good as the ability of the one who has promised to perform it. So, if Jesus says you’re going to the other side, guess where you’re going? You’re going to the other side. You can rest on that, just have faith.
