Matthew 5:14-16
You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.
Matthew 5:14-16
Okay, now it’s our turn. As followers of Christ, we’re called to be the light of the world. This isn’t about drawing attention to ourselves, but about reflecting Christ’s light to others. As Jesus gives the analogy of the city on a hill and the lamp on its stand, how visible is your faith to those around you? Are there ways you’ve been hiding your light out of fear or complacency? Then it’s time to pray for boldness to let your light shine brightly. Look for practical ways to demonstrate Christ’s love and truth to others—through acts of kindness, words of encouragement, or standing for what’s right. And always remember, the goal isn’t to gain praise for yourself, but to glorify your Father in heaven. As you shine, trust that God will use your light to draw others to Him.
