Mark 5:25, 27-29
Now a certain woman had a flow of blood for twelve years… When she heard about Jesus, she came behind Him in the crowd and touched His garment. For she said, “If only I may touch His clothes, I shall be made well.” Immediately the fountain of her blood was dried up, and she felt in her body that she was healed of the affliction.
Mark 5:25, 27-29
Have you ever had your desperation drive your faith? When there was nowhere else to turn, where did you go? In the story of the woman with the issue of blood, we see the transformative power of desperate faith. This woman, isolated and suffering for 12 years, pushed through every barrier to touch Jesus. Her desperation led to a pure, simple faith that moved the heart of God.
There may be times in your life where you may need to push past your comfort zone and reach out to Jesus in desperate faith. Then be reminded that it’s often in our moments of greatest weakness that God’s strength is most powerfully displayed. Let today’s account help you to cultivate a faith that perseveres despite obstacles? Rest assured, Jesus will meet you.
