John 6:10-11
Then Jesus said, “Make the people sit down.” Now there was much grass in the place. So the men sat down, in number about five thousand. And Jesus took the loaves, and when He had given thanks He distributed them to the disciples, and the disciples to those sitting down; and likewise of the fish, as much as they wanted.
John 6:10-11
John’s account of the feeding miracle highlights the interplay between obedience and faith. The disciples obeyed Jesus’ instructions to seat the people, even when it seemed illogical given their lack of food. Their obedience positioned them to witness a miracle. Similarly, our obedience to God’s prompts, even when we don’t fully understand, often precedes His mighty works in our lives.
We all know there are areas in our lives where God is calling us to step out in obedience. What fears or doubts are holding you back? Be assured to know that faith is often manifested in small acts of obedience. Trust that as you faithfully follow His lead, He will provide what’s needed for the journey.
