Psalm 27:2-3

When the wicked came against me To eat up my flesh, My enemies and foes, They stumbled and fell. Though an army may encamp against me, My heart shall not fear; Though war may rise against me, In this I will be confident.

David drew courage from remembering God’s past victories. Before facing Goliath, he recalled defeating the lion and bear. When Saul pursued him, he remembered how God caused his enemies to stumble and fall. Your past victories aren’t just memories—they’re monuments to God’s faithfulness. What has God already brought you through? That difficult season, that impossible situation, that overwhelming fear? If He brought you to this point, He won’t abandon you now. The Lord doesn’t forsake the work of His hands. 

Try this today: write down three ways God has been faithful in your past, and let those testimonies fuel your faith for present battles. Your history with God is your hope for today and beyond.
