When you were born again, you didn’t just receive forgiveness—you received a new nature. The Spirit of God now dwells within you, and His chief attribute is love. Your continuous practice of loving others isn’t merely obedience to a command; it’s evidence that you’ve been regenerated, that you truly are a new creation. 1 John 4:7 makes it clear: everyone who loves is born of God and knows God. This isn’t intellectual knowledge but intimate, experiential relationship.

When you find yourself struggling to love, remember it’s not about mustering up feelings—it’s about yielding to the new nature within you. The fruit of the Spirit is love, and from that fruit flows joy, peace, patience, and kindness. Your capacity to love supernaturally proves God’s presence in your life.
