1 Corinthians 6:19-20

Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own? For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s.

“I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me.” (Galatians 2:20) These words challenge our natural desire for control. Self is often our greatest hindrance to spiritual progress. When we cling to our supposed rights—our plans, our reputation, our comfort—we miss the abundant life Jesus promises. True freedom comes not from asserting ourselves but from surrendering ourselves.

Your life is not your own; you were bought at a price. So, try to identify one area where you’re demanding your own way. Open your hands before God and say, “Lord, I relinquish my right to control this. I trust Your will is better than my own.” On the other side of relinquishment is blessing beyond measure.
