Deuteronomy 28:1-2

“Now it shall come to pass, if you diligently obey the voice of the Lord your God, to observe carefully all His commandments which I command you today, that the Lord your God will set you high above all nations of the earth. And all these blessings shall come upon you and overtake you, because you obey the voice of the Lord your God:

“If you love me, keep my commandments.” (John 14:15) Obedience is not burdensome legalism—it’s the natural response of a heart captured by God’s love. Jesus knows that all blessing flows through the channel of obedience. When God’s will cuts across our own, we face a choice: our way or His way. The flesh demands another path, but nothing but discouragement awaits on the other side of disobedience. 

God sets before you today blessing and cursing, life and death. Choose life. Choose obedience. Keep in mind, Jesus never requires of you what He wasn’t willing to fulfill Himself. He walked the path of obedience all the way to the cross—for you. Let love and gratitude fuel your obedience today. What is God asking you to do? Then take the next step.
