Genesis 2:18, 24
And the Lord God said, “It is not good that man should be alone; I will make him a helper comparable to him.”… Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and they shall become one flesh.
Genesis 2:18, 24
From the very beginning, God declared, “It is not good that man should be alone.” Marriage was not an afterthought but a divine design established in Eden before sin entered the world. When God created Eve as a helper comparable to Adam, He established the pattern: one man, one woman, united as one flesh. This wasn’t merely about companionship but about reflecting God’s covenant love to the world.
How do your relationships reflect God’s original intent? Whether married or single, you are called to honor God’s design. Marriage is not primarily for your happiness but for your holiness—a refining fire that shapes you into Christ’s image. God’s standards haven’t changed because His character hasn’t changed.
