Ushers Ministry
Serving at all services.
An Usher watches over and takes care of the needs of the people as they come to the church to attend services. During regular services, ushers are assigned different roles in the sanctuary, from seating people, to greeting and handing out bulletins at the doors, to helping parents find the appropriate classroom for their children.
Other duties include preparing the sanctuary before and after the services, patrolling the parking lot, and watching for distractions during the service. They also have opportunities to serve at other church events such as baptisms, Alternative Night, Easter and Christmas services.
SERVING ONE ANOTHER
“If I then, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another’s feet. For I have given you an example, that you should do as I have done to you.”
John 13:14-15
CARE FOR THE BODY
“Therefore, brethren, seek out from among you seven men of good reputation, full of the Holy Spirit and wisdom, whom we may appoint over this business; but we will give ourselves continually to prayer and to the ministry of the word.”
Acts 6:3-4
GLORIFYING GOD
“For the administration of this service not only supplies the needs of the saints, but also is abounding through many thanksgivings to God, while, through the proof of this ministry, they glorify God for the obedience of your confession to the gospel of Christ…”
2 Cor. 9:12-13
