Acts 12:6

Acts 12:6

And when Herod was about to bring him out, that night Peter was sleeping, bound with two chains between two soldiers; and the guards before the door were keeping the prison.

Acts 12:6

Here in Acts 12, Peter’s execution was scheduled for the morning. And yet he is sleeping peacefully in prison. He is bound between two guards and shut up in a prison cell. There is no hope for escape.

Peter has seen God do amazing things; he has seen Him heal the blind, raise the dead, and calm raging seas. This wasn’t the first time Peter had been in a hopeless situation. All this led Peter to be able to sleep soundly, totally trusting in the Lord.

What have you seen the Lord do in your life? I’m sure you can think of a few things God has done. These things should lead to further and further peace as we continue to put our faith in a God that provides, heals, and saves.

At peace,

Pastor David Reeves
