Acts 4:12
“Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.“
Acts 4:12
Our human nature is always to work towards something, wanting to earn what we receive. Unfortunately that often translates into our faith which keeps us from experiencing the fullness of God’s grace and His promises. We put unnecessary burdens on ourselves thinking we have to complete daily check lists, maintain a certain status within the church, do a certain amount of work, or trust in some process; thinking we have to maintain our salvation.
But in this verse we get the reminder that our salvation is rooted in no other than Jesus Christ. There is no other process or anything that we can do, because nothing outside of Christ saves. He alone has redeemed us; there is no other individual who we can call on for forgiveness, redemption, or salvation. May we hold this verse dear and be reminded that it is because of the finished work of Christ on the cross that we receive salvation and rest in Him.
For His Kingdom,
