Ecclesiastes 11:1
Cast your bread on the surface of the waters, for you will find it after many days.
Ecclesiastes 11:1
Solomon knew a thing or two about wisdom and when he said these words in Ecclesiastes, he was reminding us that we are to be an outpouring of a body. God has given so generously to us that it would not be good for us to keep it to ourselves. By using the metaphor of the bread on the water, we see that we give unto God and do not expect to see the bread return. It is a gift of faith and trust that God is working beyond our comprehension and it is not our jobs to be worried about seeing the return.
We are only to be obedient and faithful in casting out all that He has given us. Fear has no place in our walks with God and faithfully giving has to be empowered by His truths. Let His promises and His words guide your abilities to give and watch Him restore tenfold.
