Ephesians 1:7-8
In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace which He made to abound toward us in all wisdom and prudence.
Ephesians 1:7-8
The word redemption means the process of buying back. In other words, Christ redeemed us by buying us back with His blood. He shed that blood on the cross to pay for our salvation. Through His blood and through the forgiveness of our sins, we are now put back in right standing with God: redeemed. Now, we can stand before Him without guilt and without shame. There is no condemnation, and there is no record of our wrongs.
And all of this is given to us freely by the riches of God’s grace. What an amazing God we serve. Let us take some time today to thank Him for His grace, the blood that was shed for us, and the forgiveness of sin we have.
Redeemed by the blood,
