Ephesians 4:1

Ephesians 4:1

I, therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you to walk worthy of the calling with which you were called.

Ephesians 4:1

It is really easy to fake this walk that is worthy of the calling of God. When Paul says “beseech,” he is urging his readers to walk worthy. But he isn’t telling them to force it or fake it. Paul spent the previous three chapters in Ephesians reminding us of everything that Christ has done for us and what we have in Jesus.

When it is difficult to walk worthy, it comes down to our heart. We need to remember out of the abundance of our heart our mouth will speak and our actions will follow. So walking worthy should become a joy out of the abundance of the love we have for the Lord. If you find yourself in “force it or fake it,” stop, be honest with the Lord while in prayer, and ask Him to fill your heart with His love.

Resting in Him,
