Ephesians 5:8-10, 13
For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light (for the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness, righteousness, and truth), finding out what is acceptable to the Lord… But all things that are exposed are made manifest by the light, for whatever makes manifest is light.
Ephesians 5:8-10, 13
Have you ever noticed that to get rid of darkness, all you have to do is turn on a light? Once we were darkness, but now we are light in the Lord. This transformation isn’t just a status change—it’s a call to action. So, it stands to reason that our lives should reflect our identity as a child of light.
Look at the fruits of light mentioned in this passage: goodness, righteousness, and truth. In what ways has the Holy Spirit prompted you to actively pursue these in your daily life? Remember, living as light isn’t just about personal holiness—it’s about illuminating the world around us. Pray for opportunities to shine Christ’s light in your workplace, family, or community today. Ask God to help you discern and expose the fruitless deeds of darkness, always with love and grace.
