Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of His might.

Ephesians 6:10

We live in a world of adversity; a world that wants us to be afraid and to rely on our own strength. The current trends of self-empowerment and leaving our marks on mankind have been blown to levels beyond imagination. But the Bible tells us something different.

If we are to have peace in our lives and truly have them mean something, then we are to fully rely on God and what His word tells us. It is never by our own strength, nor is it by what our feelings are telling us. Our strength and endurance rest in the fact that it is God who wants to do the battle for us. Let us not become enslaved by the thoughts of “our own strength” or “our own definitions of justice.” It is only by leaning on His strength and His might that we become victorious through Him and for His glory.
