Ephesians 6:11-12

Ephesians 6:11-12

Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.

Ephesians 6:11-12

Paul confirms what Jesus taught in Mark 3:24-27; that a kingdom divided against itself cannot stand. This applies not only to Satan’s realm but also to God’s kingdom. As believers, we’re called to unity in Christ. And Paul calls us to stand unified in our spiritual battles “against the wiles of the devil.”

We’re not called to be solo soldiers, we’re called to be an army; and that requires unity. Are there areas in your life or the life of the church where disunity and discord might be hindering God’s work? Be an agent of change and pray for the Holy Spirit to bring harmony and shared purpose among believers. Let Him show you how you can bring people together and break the bonds of disunity and discord. A unified house with the help of the Holy Spirit will stand.
