Exodus 23:2a

Exodus 23:2a

You shall not follow a crowd to do evil.

Exodus 23:2a

If you read the gospels, Jesus would often speak to the multitudes, but it was His smaller conversations with the disciples that really got His word out. Then there was the time when a whole crowd of people followed Him because Jesus fed them with fish and loaves of bread but most of the crowd left because they didn’t like what He said. The disciples stayed.

The Bible is clear the crowds will lead people away from God not towards Him. In Exodus, the crowd thought Moses wasn’t coming back down the mountain so they decided to worship a golden calf bringing much judgment upon them. Millions died in the walk across the wilderness while only Joshua and Caleb survived.

If you’re a Bible-believing Christian, you’re never going to be in the majority. The path to hell is a broad way and the road to heaven is a narrow gate. If you find yourself agreeing with the things of the world, you probably have the wrong mindset. Don’t follow the crowd, follow Jesus!

I have decided to follow Jesus,
