Ezekiel 28:18-19
“You defiled your sanctuaries By the multitude of your iniquities, By the iniquity of your trading; Therefore I brought fire from your midst; It devoured you, And I turned you to ashes upon the earth In the sight of all who saw you. All who knew you among the peoples are astonished at you; You have become a horror, And shall be no more forever.”
Ezekiel 28:18-19
This section of Ezekiel is a prophecy against Satan, referred to as the king of Tyre. Verse 15 says Satan was perfect in all his ways until iniquity was found in him. In today’s Scripture, we see that Satan profanes the sanctuaries in Tyrie and would be judged for it.
Satan is still trying to infect the churches nowadays. In Matthew 13, Jesus tells a parable of a mustard seed that grows into an abnormally big tree, and the tree is infected with many birds, representing evil in this section of parables. If you ever wonder why so many churches glorify what the Lord calls sin and have given up teaching God’s word clearly, it’s because the evil one is inside those churches.
We need to pray the Lord protects our churches from the wiles of the enemy. We can see in the verses above that, eventually, God is going to wipe him out. It’s better to follow God, Who is victorious, and not the enemy, who eventually perishes.
May our churches be filled with the sweet fragrance of God,
