Genesis 3:15

And I will put enmity Between you and the woman, And between your seed and her Seed;
He shall bruise your head, And you shall bruise His heel.

Genesis 3:15

On first reading, it might not be understood that this is a prophecy about Jesus, but that’s exactly what it is. Adam and Eve had just sinned so the Lord talks to them and also talks to the serpent, Satan. He tells them in today’s verse there will be dissension between the devil and the seed of the woman, which can only be Jesus. 

Jesus’ heel would be bruised, meaning He would be hurt on the cross, but He’s going to come back. Jesus, on the other hand, will bruise Satan’s head, He’s going to finish him off. It hasn’t happened yet, but someday we will be able to live without being tempted by the devil.

Why should we believe the Bible? Because its prophecies have proven to be true, showing us God knows the beginning from the end.
