Hebrews 10:24
And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works,
Hebrews 10:24
How do you feel about your fellow brothers and sisters in Christ? What do you think our obligations are toward one another? The word “consider” in the verse above means to put another’s needs and desires first before our own. Like Paul says in Philippians 2:3, “Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than himself.”
The fact is, we need each other. One encourages the other to help bring out the fruit of a saved life. We can often see strengths and gifts in others before they can recognize them in themselves and vice versa. We are never called to “go it alone,” but we have the responsibility to live lives of faith and obedience in such a way that we positively stir up others toward spiritual growth, love, and good works.
Time to “consider,”
