Hebrews 1:1-2
God, who at various times and in various ways spoke in time past to the fathers by the prophets, has in these last days spoken to us by His Son, whom He has appointed heir of all things, through whom also He made the worlds;
Hebrews 1:1-2
God spoke to His people through prophets such as Elijah, Elisha, Isaiah, Jeremiah, Ezekiel, Daniel, Jonah, and John the Baptist, to name a few. And not all at once but at various times reinforcing the same message. But God had so much more to say; the symphony was incomplete, and how will He finish it?
The answer is in a Name and will be God’s last Word. The prophets find their crescendo and supreme expression through the person and work of the Son. The symphony is finished, and the composer and conductor Himself steps onto the stage to become the soloist. The prophet’s message was perfect. Jesus is perfection. The seers of old were instruments. Jesus is the music.
So take some time today to walk with your Shepherd and follow His voice. It will be music to your ears.
God’s last Word,
