Hebrews 4:12

For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

When Jesus walked this earth, He taught the Scriptures with power, cutting through religious traditions to reveal the very heart of God. The Word of God has the power to transform lives, to touch us to our very core, to line our hearts up with the heart of the Father.

As you read your Bible today, approach it not as a mere book of rules or history, but as the very words of God speaking directly to you. Ask the Holy Spirit to illuminate the Scriptures and reveal areas in your life that need to align more closely with God’s will. And then let what you’ve read move you forward into your day with the confidence that you serve a powerful and living God.
