Hebrews 4:14-16
Seeing then that we have a great High Priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession. For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.
Hebrews 4:14-16
Does Jesus ever seem distant, like He just doesn’t understand what you are going through? His interactions with the bleeding woman and Jairus reveal His deep compassion for human suffering. He didn’t just heal; He restored dignity, hope, and life.
Today’s reading reminds us that Jesus understands our weaknesses and sufferings because He experienced them Himself. He invites us to approach His throne of grace with confidence. So then, how does Jesus’ compassion impact your view of your own struggles? How does knowing that Jesus intimately understands your pain change the way you pray about your difficulties?
