Isaiah 43:2-3a
When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; And through the rivers, they shall not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned, Nor shall the flame scorch you. For I am the Lord your God, The Holy One of Israel, your Savior;
Isaiah 43:2-3a
After Jesus calmed the storm His question to the disciples, “Why are you so afraid? Do you still have no faith?” challenges us to examine our own responses to life’s difficulties. Fear often reveals where our faith is lacking. God’s promise in Isaiah to be with us through waters and fires reminds us that His presence is constant, even in our deepest trials.
What fears are you facing today? Make a determination to actively choose faith over fear in those situations. And be reminded that the Lord may not always take you out of your trials but He will ALWAYS be with you in them. When we get to the end of ourselves, we get to the beginning of God.
