James 5:16

Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.

James 5:16

            One of the great gifts the Lord has given us is the gift of prayer. When we are saved, we now have the ability to talk to God – to praise Him, to thank Him, and to lay our requests before Him. 

            Along with this gift of prayer, we have the gift of fellowship, to gather with people in the church and have Christian friends who can be there for us. One of the benefits of those friends is being able to have real conversations with them about our struggles and pray for one another.

            We need to take advantage of this because God tells us the effective, fervent prayer of a ighteous man avails much. Why would we not try to find those godly people in church to pray for us if it can be of such benefit? What a great gift from God!
