John 14:16-18
And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever.
John 14:16-18
As fallen mankind and children of the Father, we were never meant to suffer alone. In times of suffering, we’re assured that the “spirit of glory and of God rests upon you” (1 Peter 4:14). Jesus promised that the Holy Spirit would be our Comforter and Helper.
Do you have hardships in your life today? Focus on the reality of God’s presence with you. In moments of loneliness or pain, pause to acknowledge the Spirit’s presence. How can you be more aware of His comfort and guidance throughout your day? Ask the Holy Spirit to make His presence known to you in tangible ways, and to empower you to face your challenges.
