John 15:11

“These things I have spoken to you, that My joy may remain in you, and that your joy may be full.”  

John 15:11

You don’t ever go into an apple orchard and hear a bunch of grunting trees trying to make apples.  The apples come from within when the tree in healthy and nourished.  In the same way, our true joy comes when we stay connected to the vine, our Lord Jesus.

Jesus’ joy is pleasing the Father, doing His will, and glorifying His name. For Jesus, His joy wasn’t dependent on the circumstances around Him, it was His absolute assurance that He was in the will of the Father. Jesus will put that joy in us as we abide in Him.  Then we can walk in that full joy no matter what the circumstances around us look like.  You can’t be any more complete than that.
