John 3:1-2

There was a man of the Pharisees named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews.  This man came to Jesus by night and said to Him, “Rabbi, we know that You are a teacher come from God; for no one can do these signs that You do unless God is with him.” 

John 3:1-2 

We are told that Nicodemus was a ruler of the Jews which means he was one of the 70-member Sanhedrin. According to Jesus, he was a teacher of the Jews.  So he was a big shot! But something was missing in Nicodemus’s life. He was thirsty for God and longing for that peace that only God can bring. 

Are there people in your life who you have been praying for to get saved? Sure you do, I know I do! Let’s continue to pray that they would be thirsty for God and that there would be longing for peace in their hearts. Only God can bring that. Nicodemus seemed to have it all, but he was actually searching for God. 

Everyone needs Jesus! Even the people who look like they have it all together, the big shots! So let’s keep praying for them.
