John 4:51-53
And as he was going down, his servants met him and told him saying, “Your son lives!” Then he inquired of them the hour when he got better. And they said to him, “Yesterday at the seventh hour the fever left him.” So the father knew that it was at the same hour in which Jesus said to him, “Your son lives.” And he himself believed, and his whole household.
John 4:51-53
Earlier in this chapter, we are told that this nobleman had asked Jesus to come and heal his son and that Jesus healed him without even making a house call. Then, when this nobleman was making his way back home, his servants came to tell him that his son had been healed. And when they told him the time when he was healed, he then knew that Jesus had done it! And he believed, he and his whole family.
When the father of the house gets saved and walks with God, it has a big effect on the whole family. The husband has been called to be the leader, and when the head of the home walks with God, blessings follow. But also, when the leader of the home is not the spiritual example they should be, the family will suffer. I’ve seen so many families hurt and struggle because the leader of the home is not following God.
This nobleman’s life was touched by God and his family’s life in turn was touched, too. Guys, let’s be the leaders that God has called us to be!
