John 4:6

Now Jacob’s well was there.  Jesus therefore, being wearied from His journey, sat thus by the well.  It was about the sixth hour.

John 4:6 

We are told that when Jesus arrived, He was weary and He sat down by Jacob’s well.  He was tired. I think it is actually reassuring that Jesus knows how it feels to be tired!   

When I read this, it reminded me that Jesus was a man. He was God and man.  And because of that, He knows how I feel, in whatever I am going through. Jesus knows what it is like to be tired, to be sick, to be hurt, to be sad, to be afraid, to be lonely. He really knows.

And when I remember that and realize that Jesus knows how I feel, my prayers will be different. Because I know that He understands!
