John 6:38, 40 & Galatians 1:10

John 6:38, 40 & Galatians 1:10

For I have come down from heaven, not to do My own will, but the will of Him who sent Me… And this is the will of Him who sent Me, that everyone who sees the Son and believes in Him may have everlasting life; and I will raise him up at the last day.”

John 6:38, 40

For do I now persuade men, or God? Or do I seek to please men? For if I still pleased men, I would not be a bondservant of Christ.

Galatians 1:10

Jesus wasn’t swayed by the crowds or popularity. His focus remained on obeying the Father’s will and having the Father shine through His every step. Human need did not direct the ministry of Jesus. It was obedience to the Father. In our social media age, it’s easy to become distracted by likes, follows, and human approval.

Where might you be tempted to compromise obedience to God for the sake of pleasing others? Ask God for the courage to stand firm in His truth and to seek His approval above all else.
