Joshua 1:9; Read Psalm 27:1-14
Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.
Joshua 1:9; Read Psalm 27:1-14
Throughout Psalm 27, we see a progression in David’s faith. He begins by declaring God’s character, recalls His faithfulness, seeks His face, waits on Him, and finally finds the courage to face his challenges. This courage isn’t self-generated; it comes from dwelling in God’s presence.
As you face your own battles today, remember that true courage comes from knowing that God is with you. He hasn’t promised an easy life, but He has promised His presence. Meditate on the truth that the same God who was with David is with you now. Let His presence be your source of strength and courage. End your devotional time by declaring, like David, “I remain confident of this: I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.”
