Jude 1:3

Beloved, while I was very diligent to write to you concerning our common salvation, I found it necessary to write to you exhorting you to contend earnestly for the faith which was once for all delivered to the saints.

Jude 1:3

Jude found it necessary to encourage the first-century church to fight for and contend for their faith. In his short letter, he warns them of those in their midst who sought to lead them astray.

Times haven’t changed much. This letter is just as relevant today as it was 2000 years ago. Christianity is still filled with those who seek to lead believers away. And we still need to contend for our faith. Now is not the time to sit back and relax but to step and fight for our faith in Christ. Now is the time to instruct the generations after us, guard them against attacks, and lead them toward greater and greater faith. Now is the time to get out, share our faith, and not hide it under a basket.
