Luke 12:12

Luke 12:12

“For the Holy Spirit will teach you in that very hour what you ought to say.”
Luke 12:12

Mankind was created purposefully with two great commandments from God, “Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.” And second, to “love your neighbor as yourself.” Loving God seems doable because we can read our Bibles alone in a quiet place, and we can pray to the Father in silence. But the second greatest commandment is where the walk can become a little harder. Especially if loving others might require us to share our faith and defend our positions. If you are naturally shy or introverted, you shouldn’t be afraid. Because God’s Word tells us that His Spirit will be upon us when needed.

As Christians, we cannot save anyone, period. It is the working of the Holy Spirit through us that makes miracles happen. You needn’t worry about having a catchy phrase or a super spiritual opening line memorized. If we are faithful to step out in obedience and willing to be the mouthpieces for God, then we can be assured the Spirit will come upon us and speak for us in that very hour. I’ve had conversations with people and began to cite Scripture that I forgot I ever knew. The point is that God is faithful and looking for obedience, not skill.

Let His Spirit speak for you, for He is the orchestrator of your life if you would let Him. Don’t worry about what you will say to others; worry that you are saying “yes” and not “no” to “God.

God Bless,
