Mark 3:1, 3, 5
And He entered the synagogue again, and a man was there who had a withered hand… And He said to the man who had the withered hand, “Step forward.” … He said to the man, “Stretch out your hand.” And he stretched it out, and his hand was restored as whole as the other.
Mark 3:1, 3, 5
God will not give us a command without giving us the ability to obey it. When Jesus commanded the man to stretch out his hand, He instantaneously gave that hand the miraculous ability to stretch out. But the man demonstrated remarkable faith by obeying Jesus’ command before he knew he could do it. Often, God calls us to step out in faith before we see the miracle. He invites us to trust Him even when our circumstances seem impossible.
Are there areas of your life that feel “withered” or impossible right now? God is calling you to step out in faith, even before you see the solution? Pray for the courage to obey, trusting that as you step out, God’s power will meet you. It’s the perfect marriage between God’s omnipotence and man’s obedience.
