Mark 3:20-22
Then the multitude came together again, so that they could not so much as eat bread. But when His own people heard about this, they went out to lay hold of Him, for they said, “He is out of His mind.” And the scribes who came down from Jerusalem said, “He has Beelzebub,” and, “By the ruler of the demons He casts out demons.”
Mark 3:20-22
Jesus faced misunderstanding from both His family and religious leaders, yet He remained faithful to His mission. How often do we let others’ opinions and understandings deter us from God’s calling? Don’t let the misunderstandings of man remove you from the opportunity that God is setting before you.
Have there been times and situations where you felt misunderstood in your faith? Where others didn’t believe in your firm convictions about a given circumstance? How did you respond? Did you give up or did you stand on the truth? Ask God for the strength to remain faithful, even when others don’t understand your devotion. Remember, like Jesus, our ultimate audience is our Heavenly Father.
