Mark 4:26-29
And He said, “The kingdom of God is as if a man should scatter seed on the ground, and should sleep by night and rise by day, and the seed should sprout and grow, he himself does not know how. For the earth yields crops by itself: first the blade, then the head, after that the full grain in the head. But when the grain ripens, immediately he puts in the sickle, because the harvest has come.”
Mark 4:26-29
Framing is something that takes a lot of work but even more than that, it takes patience. We are called to be farmers with our own sanctification. Just as a farmer plants seeds and waits patiently for growth, our spiritual lives often develop in ways we can’t fully comprehend. The parable of the growing seed reminds us that while we have a role to play in our spiritual growth, ultimately it is God who causes the increase.
In your own spiritual growth, how has God been working in ways you may not have initially recognized? Does it surprise you? Trust that even when you can’t see it, God is continually at work in your heart. The best thing to do, practice patience and faith as you allow Him to nurture the seeds of truth He’s planted in your life. And you’ll be part of a fruitful harvest.
