Mark 4:38-39
But He was in the stern, asleep on a pillow. And they awoke Him and said to Him, “Teacher, do You not care that we are perishing?” Then He arose and rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, “Peace, be still!” And the wind ceased and there was a great calm.
Mark 4:38-39
I find myself constantly crying out like the disciples do here. “Lord, help, the boat is sinking!” The storms of life rise and we, like the disciples, are so quick to believe our Lord is asleep. But Jesus is asleep in the boat with us, not because He doesn’t care or He doesn’t know, but because He is secure. When Jesus and the disciples got in the boat, He told them “let us cross over to the other side.” He didn’t say “let’s go under.”
When the storms of life rage, we can be calm and trust the Lord has a plan for us. He will be right there in the boat with us and we can be calm and secure.
In the boat with Jesus,
