Mark 8:27-30
Now Jesus and His disciples went out to the towns of Caesarea Philippi; and on the road He asked His disciples, saying to them, “Who do men say that I am?” So they answered, “John the Baptist; but some say, Elijah; and others, one of the
prophets.” He said to them, “But who do you say that I am?” Peter answered and said to Him, “You are the Christ.” Then He strictly warned them that they should tell no one about Him.
Mark 8:27-30
The most important question you will ever answer is this: “Who do you say that Jesus is?” Not what others think, not what culture says, not even what religious tradition claims—but who do YOU say He is? Peter declared, “You are the Christ,” and Jesus revealed this confession came through divine illumination. Knowing Jesus intellectually is not enough; you need revelation from the Father.
Is Jesus merely a good teacher, a prophet, or a moral example? Or is He the Messiah, the Son of the Living God, your Savior and Lord? Your answer to this question determines everything—your eternal destiny, your daily purpose, and your hope in suffering. If Jesus asked you today, “Who do you say that I am?” what would your answer be?
