Matthew 11:28

“Come to me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.  Take my yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.  For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”

Since Adam and Eve sinned, it has been a tough life for all of us living outside the Garden of Eden.  The Garden was an awesome place to live and have fellowship with God. On the other hand, the world outside of the Garden is filled with struggle, pain, and sin. God, from the very beginning, has been calling us back to Him.

“Come to me, for my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”  When we come back to Jesus, we can rest!  And I don’t know about you, but I like to rest. There’s nothing better than that Sunday afternoon nap.

Jesus says, “You will find rest for your souls.”  If you have found yourself weary and tired of living this life lately and there are many heavy things on your heart, Jesus makes it very simple.  “Come and I will give you rest.”
