Matthew 21:10-11
And when He had come into Jerusalem, all the city was moved, saying, “Who is this?” So the multitudes said, “This is Jesus, the prophet from Nazareth of Galilee.”
Matthew 21:10-11
Here we read that when Jesus came into Jerusalem, that city of millions was moved. This word moved in the Greek is the word seismic. Which is the word we use with regard to earthquakes. Matthew writes that the whole city was shaken up when Jesus made His entry.
That is the effect that Jesus had on those around Him. The things that He said, the things that He did, caused those around him to have to act. I wonder how our lives are affecting those around us? Is our Christianity a 1.0 (on the spiritual Richter scale) or a 7.5? Do the people around us get moved or not? That’s something to ask ourselves from time to time.
Moved by Jesus,
