Matthew 5:14-15
“You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden.”
“Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house.”
Matthew 5:14-15
Did you ever realize that God purposely made the moon out of reflective material so it would bounce sunlight to the earth when it’s dark? In the same way, God made us out of spiritually reflective material so that we could reflect the light of Jesus to the darkened world around us.
Immorality, unbelief, corruption, violence, pain, and death constantly surround us. But when we exhibit kingdom living, and walk in obedience, our reflected light dispels darkness. And like a city on a hill, people who live in that darkness from miles around will have a beacon of hope. So look to Jesus today and let Him light you up.
Reflecting His glory,
