Matthew 6:34

Matthew 6:34

Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.

Matthew 6:34

We know from the Word that God gives us His grace in abundance, but He also doesn’t waste His grace.  He gives it to us just when we need it.  If a hardship is facing us, He gives us grace to get through it when it faces us, not days before.  We have to trust He’ll come through and, lo and behold, He ALWAYS does.

If we fret about tomorrow, we’re on our own and technically we’re in the flesh.  We are robbing ourselves of effectiveness today – which means we will be even less effective tomorrow. We’re like those in the world (and sometimes Christians) that crucify themselves between two thieves: the regrets of yesterday and the worries about tomorrow.  So trust today that God already has made provision for tomorrow and when you get there, He’ll give you the grace to endure, and not a moment sooner.

Grace for today,

Pastor Gerard Deleeuw
