Philemon 4-6
I thank my God, making mention of you always in my prayers, hearing of your love and faith which you have toward the Lord Jesus and toward all the saints, that the sharing of your faith may become effective by the acknowledgment of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus.
Philemon 4-6
Paul was writing to his friend Philemon and he describes his friend as a man of love, a man of faith towards God and towards all the saints in Christ Jesus. What a great way to be described, and Paul wasn’t just buttering him up. Philemon really was a godly man whom God was using to minister to and touch the lives of others. He even opened up his home so that the believers could worship the Lord there.
So, how do people in your life see you? If they were to describe you in a sentence or two, what would they say? Like Paul describing Philemon, would they say you were a person of love, of faith, and a person who loves all your brothers and sisters in Christ? Philemon made an impact on those around him by the love he had for them and the faith he had in his Lord. That is how I want to be known, too!
