Philippians 1: 3-5
I thank my God upon every remembrance of you, always in every prayer of mine making request for you all with joy, for your fellowship in the gospel from the first day until now.
Philippians 1: 3-5
Here Paul thanked the Lord for the fellowship he had with his brothers and sisters in Christ. This connection is rooted in the indwelling of the Holy Spirit in the lives of all Born Again Christians. Paul had this great joy as he thought about them. He knew they were all thinking of him and praying for him as he sat there in that Roman prison. And it helped him endure through those many tough and lonely times.
As Paul shared his heart with his brothers and sisters in the Philippian church, it is a reminder of the deep fellowship and bond that you and I have as believers. Like Paul, I am so thankful for the believers, those brothers and sisters the Lord has put in my life. We are more than friends; we have a fellowship in Christ that surpasses anything in this world. We are part of the body of Christ and are part of one another.
Like Paul, let’s remember to be thankful for our church family each and every day. And how they have helped us and enriched our lives in this journey of faith.
Thanking God for my church family,
Pastor Rich Kikuchi
