Philippians 2:14-16
Do all things without complaining and disputing, that you may become blameless and harmless, children of God without fault in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world, holding fast the word of life, so that I may rejoice in the day of Christ that I have not run in vain or labored in vain.
Philippians 2:14-16
Like Lot in Sodom, we often find ourselves grieved by the darkness around us. Yet Paul calls us to shine as lights in the world. This isn’t about withdrawing from society, but about living distinctly within it. As we navigate through the complexity of the culture that we live in, where wrong is being called right, and sin being called righteousness, be encouraged, because if the Lord delivered Lot from the oppression of the filthy conduct and the lawless deeds of those people that he walked amongst, He will do the same thing for you and I.
How can you be a light in your workplace, neighborhood, or family? It might mean speaking up for truth, showing unusual kindness, or maintaining integrity when others cut corners. Remember, your “light” isn’t just about personal morality, but about reflecting Christ’s love and truth to those around you.
